From the Studio of Danielle Barlot
Hi, I’m Danielle.
I’m 37, a mother of two girls, a wife and a multidisciplinary artist.
My work doesn’t follow a single style, technique, or palette.
It moves intuitively between minimal and expressive, soft and bold, restrained and full of color.
Because for me, creation is never about repetition.
It’s about capturing a moment, a feeling, a presence.
Over the years, my work has taken different forms
from photography to physical art, from clean compositions to more tactile, material driven pieces.
I don’t limit the process.
I let the work become what it needs to be.
What connects everything I create is intention.
A quiet, deliberate approach to form, balance, and space
with the aim of creating pieces that don’t just exist within a room,
but shape the way it feels.
This philosophy is what shaped CitandCots.
A modern art studio focused on creating thoughtfully designed wall art for contemporary interiors pieces that integrate into real spaces, rather than overpower them.
The collections are inspired by everyday living,
living rooms, children’s rooms, quiet corners
and are designed to bring a sense of ease, balance, and harmony into the home.
Clean lines, refined compositions, and a careful use of color
come together to create work that feels both personal and effortless to live with.
I’m deeply inspired by the relationship between people and their environments
how a space can ground us, soften us, or simply allow us to feel more at home.
That’s where my work begins.
Today, my pieces live in homes around the world
something I experience with a deep sense of gratitude.
There is something profoundly moving in knowing that a piece created in an intimate moment
becomes part of someone else’s everyday life.
Not just something they see
but something they live with
Every piece is produced with care and intention,
reflecting a commitment to quality, material, and thoughtful design.
Every piece that leaves my hands carries meaning.
And every purchase carries trust.
I don’t take that lightly.
So truly thank you.
For choosing my work, and for allowing it into your space.
If you’re here, something likely resonated.
I invite you to explore the collection and find the piece that feels right for you.
